OK, so I’m heading out to Hiroshima, Japan next week (just a heads up) and here I am shopping for a new board to replace my 03-04 Black Snowboard of Death from Capita. This wouldn’t sound so crazy except for the fact that I won’t be able to ride while I’m over there. Yup, I’m trying to buy a board that I won’t be able to use for one and half seasons. WHO CARES! I want one now!
So I headed down to the local snowboard shop (I hate Zumiez) to see what they had since they generally carry Capita boards. They had a big winter closeout sale and there was a 151 Indoor Survival board for only $210 (normal is retail is $420), but no 156. It was devastating and to make things worse, the guy helping me out said they must have sold it yesterday. I should hunt the kid down…
That’s my story of the day. It sucks, but I guess I’ll just have to wait two years and hope a Capita board earns Transworld’s Good Wood award again.
